Any immigrant knows that there is something special in the air when returning home, even if briefly. The light, the air, the smells—it's all different yet so familiar. I took my friend, Andra, down to the beach in Constanta, Romania—the day after her wedding. A brief sunset shoot before she jets off to Greece for a few days of minimoon.
What I envisioned was a brief solo romance for her. Walking down the beach by herself, enjoying being back home, and relishing those final sun rays before she flies back to the place she's settled in as an adult: England.
